Windows Agent – installation manual - SPM Monitoring

Current Agent version: 1.0.0.3

Download the last version of Agent from https://sourceforge.net/projects/simple-ping-monitor/files/
Unpack zip archive and run the installation file.

The installer will ask you to enter encryption key. This key need to encrypt transferred data between Agent and your SPM Monitoring system.

Go to your SPM-Monitoring App => Options Tab
a. Check Enable data retrieve from Hosts Agents checkbox
b. Then Click ‘Generate’ button to generate new Encryption Key.

Copy this Encryption key to the clipboard and pase into Agent installation dialog.
Optionally you can also specify Listen port (both in SPM Monitoring Options and here in Agent service installation dialog).
Then just Click next, next.
SPM-monitoring Agent will install as Windows Service in your system.
The Agent installer will automatically create exception in your Windows Firewall for itself. But you can check it if some connection trouble is observed.

Click Finish.

Everything is Done.
